Video: How I Got My First Song On TV

A few weeks ago I received a check for $300.00, for a song I wrote and first licensed ten years ago.  The song, "All The Love", is actually the first song I licensed into television, ten years ago.  I get checks for this song every year.

Examples Of Songs Used In TV Part 1 - The O.C.

This is the first of several posts where I'll be analyzing scenes from popular tv shows and discussing how music is used to support each scene.
 
As I stated in my last post, songs that are used in television shows and films are used to enhance plotlines.  To really understand how music is used, and why it's used, you need to study and dissect how songs that are licensed fit within the context of the scene the song is used in.  Start listening closely to songs you hear in tv shows and films. ...
